We're embarking on a three-pronged experiment to evolve a federated, Web Component–based social network using the existing Federated Wiki ecosystem.
> Welcome to VibeCode the Future, an open citizen science and federated wiki experiment where everyone is invited to vibe-code the future of our planet. > > This project is a global, federated network of mini-wikis, each one a collaborative space dedicated to researching, coding, and visualizing data about Earth and its future.
We’ll start by vibe-coding individual wiki front-ends, then add interactive widgets, and finally experiment with FedWiki plugins. This incremental approach lets us build new features layer by layer while keeping the existing community and infrastructure intact. 1. Vibe Coded Home 1. Vibe Widgets 1. Vibe Plugins
# How It Works
In VibeCode the Future, participants create their own federated wiki pages focused on a specific environmental or scientific theme. Maybe you're interested in mapping ocean temperatures and pollution in the seas around Japan, or you're more into tracking air pollution patterns in London. Whatever your focus, you’ll gather and add data to your own wiki pages, using your local AI agents to help collect, archive, and visualize that information.
# The Tech and Interface We're planning to use a **full-stack agentic coding environment** (FACE). This gives us a smooth, iterative experience training our own agents on how to handle and interpret Earth Data.
The interface will feature a Interactive Globe with a choropleth-style tile system. You can click on a region of interest to open related wiki pages and dive into the data that others are sharing.
# A Cooperative Social Network
Ultimately, VibeCode the Future is about building a mutually owned cooperative platform. It’s a social network where everyone contributes to vibe-coding different aspects of the Earth's future, sharing, forking, and remixing each other’s work. Over time, it becomes a living, evolving archive of citizen-driven insights into our planet’s well-being.
